Sargasso has once again partnered with BlissBlissBliss, a local yoga studio, to offer the community another year of Clean. The 21-day program based on the book "Clean," by Alejandro Junger, MD, is designed to restore the body's natural ability to heal itself.
"Clean is an M.D.'s program designed to be easily incorporated into our busy schedule while providing all the practical tools necessary to support and rejuvenate our bodies. The effect is transformative: nagging health problems will suddenly disappear, extra weight will drop away, and for the first time in our lives, we will experience what it truly means to be healthy."
The role Sargasso plays is quite unique compared to other cleanse programs focused on the food we eat. Sargasso's Chefs prepare 2 meals per day for six days a week for program participants. Participants pick up their meals twice a week. That's it.
If you ever wanted to do a cleanse but were worried about committing to all the grocery shopping and meal prep time, this is the program to try! You have access to the most skilled gourmet chefs in town and they make 90% of your food for three weeks. All meals follow the Clean program guidelines, eliminating homework, guesswork, shopping, prep and cooking.
I personally tried the clean program last year to share my experience here. I have committed to Clean this year because I believe in the principles of the program, the ingredients used in the meals, and the incredible skills of Sargasso's Chefs. Cleansing isn't something that most people would describe as "fun," but I'm going to say it. This Cleanse is Fun.
I'll be sharing photos of some of the meals provided over the next three weeks so check back if you're curious to see what the chefs create that is gluten, dairy, soy, sugar and nightshade free!
